Through the support of sponsors and other revenue sources like spare fees, the Cutting Edges Association is able to subsidize everyone’s league fees. Players pay less than if they were to sign up with ARCHL or ASHL on their own.
For those that need additional assistance, we have a couple of programs available to help.
Instalments
We can break up skater league fee payments into three instalments. Note that there will be a small financing charge added. Schedule: July 1, 2026, Sept. 1, 2026, and Nov. 1, 2026
ARCHL (Vancouver): 3x payments of $205 (total $615, financing charge of $15)
ASHL (Burnaby): 3x payments of $287 (total $861, financing charge of $21)
Hockey Access Fund
The Cutting Edges, Vancouver’s LGBTQ+ Hockey Association, recognizes that the cost to play hockey can be a significant barrier to people's ability to join a team.
Thanks to support from our community partners, the Cutting Edges has implemented a Hockey Access Fund (HAF) to help offset the cost of hockey fees. Interested applicants are invited to apply for a subsidy of between 10% and 50% of their yearly hockey fees. Please note that this subsidy is not guaranteed for each applicant.
If you apply for a subsidy at the same time you pay your membership fee for a roster spot, you will have seven days after being informed of the final decision on your HAF application to decide if you want to proceed with playing or receive a full refund of your membership fee.

If you have questions about the Hockey Access Fund program, please contact the Cutting Edges using our confidential HAF email inbox at registrar@cuttingedgeshockey.ca.
